ABOUT OOHKK
Say it. Play it. Get paid.
Oohkk is a platform from Kampala, Uganda, that runs in your browser, with no download. You post what people shouldn't forget, play games, buy and sell, meet people, and earn tips that you can cash out to Mobile Money. It used to be called Ohh (and Ohh Uganda).
Don't Forget: the feed
Post the promise that wasn't kept or the problem that hasn't been fixed: a road, the water, streetlights. Each post counts the days since it started, so nobody forgets. Others react with Banange, comment, share and tip. The For you feed learns what you like to read, and hashtags show what Kampala is talking about.
Tips and cash out
Tips are paid in Chapters, Oohkk's points. Tips you receive can be cashed out to your MTN or Airtel Mobile Money number, in your own name.
Apps and games
- Miyayu False Prophets: a satirical runner game. Its villains are fictional; real public figures appear only as heroes.
- Marketplace: buy and sell in Kampala. Sellers are verified with a Seller pass, buyers message them on WhatsApp, and listings are reviewed before they go live.
- Dating: anonymous by default. Members confirm they're real with a live selfie that only staff see, and photos are swapped only when both people agree.
- Ads: businesses advertise to Oohkk members, and every ad is reviewed first.
Safety
Posts, listings, chats and profiles can be reported, and staff review them. Oohkk never asks you for money to meet someone or for a deposit before you see an item.
